“And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.” (Jeremiah 30: 19)

Let’s begin our day with gratitude and joy, a praise of God and all that He brings to the table! This thanksgiving is more than just a gathering for food. And it is an occasion that is available to us every day and no matter whether we are with others or alone.

We are grateful because God has endowed us richly with His own qualities—His inheritance which includes the fullness of Love and Life, the beauty of being, creativity, artistry, and the capacity to appreciate this goodness.

As we recognize and celebrate the spiritual abundance at hand, accept this feast of ideas and possibilities, of love within us and for us, then we are ready to gain even more blessings. Our gratitude nurtures the ground where we stand, causing our lives to multiply, increase in inspiration, understanding, and success.

And our glad thanksgiving unites us with others, draws them to us, in one great choir of men and nations, gathered in the name of God, of Life, and of Love. And so, we realize we are not dining at separate tables, but truly assembled together as one, through God’s unifying grace and eternal and loving Truth.

A Happy Thanksgiving to one and all!

“For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see.” (Psalms 36: 9, New Living Translation)

This beautiful psalm assures us that our bodies and our souls, our hearts and our minds, are being sufficiently cared for. God is reliably supplying us with all that we need to live, to thrive.

God is Life. His qualities of health, energy, well-being, comfort, harmony, are gushing forth like a fountain—one that is pure, beautiful, and refreshing. We receive daily the waters of this Source, and they are renewing us, awakening us to true being. This splash of Life is spiritual power and it reaches to every part of us, naturally and effectively.

Likewise, God’s Truth and Love bring us clarity. He is our light. It is not human intelligence or history or opinion that leads us. It is the bright radiance of God’s knowing, His right design revealing itself as inspiration that brings peace, ideas that are solutions, a beacon of comfort in the darkness of fear.

We are never mentally confused nor alone and struggling to survive. God’s boundless, glorious, saving nature is abundantly expressive in us and for us right here and now and always. It is reliably ready to lighten our load and enlighten our way!

“Don’t panic. I’m with you. There’s no need to fear for I’m your God. I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.” (Isaiah 41: 10, the Message Bible)

Relax! It’s going to be okay. God is with us and He is our God, the very goodness and strength and safety and confidence and inspiration that we need. Right now.

There’s no reason to panic. Breathe into the realization that you are not alone in a set of circumstances. You are at one with God’s infinite qualities and His boundless affection. God is in control and this governing Principle is faultless, as well as wholly loving, kind, tender.

God won’t let you fall or falter. His perfect Love is also power. God is not in the least daunted by material appearances. He knows no limits to His own capacity to keep you well, safe, and flourishing. There is no other force or presence to take you out of God’s hands, out of His state of peace and harmony.

You may feel at times like you are confused or afraid, but God has got you and your life in every moment. He is ready to assure, comfort, inspire, guide, and protect you. Don’t panic!

“From east to west, the powerful Lord God has been calling together everyone on earth.” (Psalms 50: 1, Contemporary English Version)

We are all being called together, by God, the Creator of this whole earth.

God not only made All and made it very good, He is always thinking of us, sustaining us, inspiring us, and guiding us. God—infinite Life, Truth, and Love—knows us all individually and collectively, and He is beckoning us to come together.

God’s Oneness is harmony. His divine demand, His holy intention, is that we express Him fully and gloriously. This means unity. It means answering this call and yielding to our natural connection, the great reality that we are not in conflict, at a distance, separate. We are One in Love. We are One in Life. We are One in Truth.

While it may feel as if the sheer expanse of the earth sets us apart, we are truly all being called together from east to west, north to south, to know and feel God’s purpose. We can respond with grateful joy to this gentle yet urgent call to be unified, to love, to live, declare, and promote peace for all mankind.

“How enduring is God’s loyal love; the Eternal has inexhaustible compassion.” (Lamentations 3: 22, the Voice Translation)

God’s Love is the most trustworthy thing there is. We will always have the affection of the Eternal One, for He is Love, He is All, He is ever-present. There is no space or occasion where God’s Love is not active and with us.

God’s perfect Love is forever faithful. This Love never deserts us or betrays us. God is tenderly comforting us, strengthening and encouraging us, believing in us. God’s Love understands us and approves of us. This Love is sweet and at the same time powerful to heal and revive us.

The Eternal never runs out of Love. There is more than enough for all, and yet He expresses this Love with precision toward each of His beloved ones. God knows us right where we are and finds us, enveloping each one in His loving arms. This divine embrace holds us tight perpetually but at the same time gives us a wonderful feeling of freedom to be, to do, and to rejoice gratefully in this Life of Love.

“He who despises his neighbor sins [against God, his fellowman, and himself], but happy (blessed and fortunate) is he who is kind and merciful to the poor.” (Proverbs 14: 21, Amplified Bible Classic Edition)

Let’s aspire to love and to be kind. This is not only the right way to be, but it is the way of joy, true happiness and contentment.

Despising our neighbor dishonors God. When we hate another, we are harshly judging one who God has made. We are also going against our own higher nature. For we were created to express God, and He is pure goodness and Love. He has made us to reflect His qualities and so each of us is, in Truth, worthy of respect, openness, and compassion.

The “poor” to whom we are to be kind and merciful are not only those who may seem to have less possessions or money than we do. They are also those who may appear to be lacking in an understanding we may have—of love, of grace, of peace. We can seek to be good to them, without self-righteousness, and so to feel more like ourselves, the loving individuals who we are.

Love genuinely expressed is felt by others and also felt within. This brings healing and contentment, happiness, and energy. It pleases God for it obeys His intention and is a rich blessing to us and to all.

“Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me, And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened.” (Daniel 10: 18, 19)

Daniel gained the strength he needed. This necessary and timely energy and confidence weren’t physical power or weapons or an army of people to help him out.

Daniel was empowered by the voice of Truth. These clear reminders of God’s presence came to him in a way that felt tangible and comforting. But it wasn’t a person that made Daniel feel strong. It was the comforting message. It was that reminder to Daniel that he was greatly beloved. Right away, that must have brought peace and renewal.

And he was told not to fear, to receive the natural benediction of peace that came from being loved by God, protected by His ever-conscious affection. And with this inspired revelation, Daniel received strength.

We, too, can listen for this Truth of ourselves and the care that is at the ready. At those times when we feel weak and incapable, we can let go of the gloom and the personal responsibility. We can be receptive to the Christ-Truth and let it speak to us. We can gratefully accept that we are greatly beloved, and so we need not fear. We can then feel the peace and the fortitude that is ours to experience in this moment and to refresh us for the next.

“Worry in the heart of a man weighs it down, but a good word makes it glad.” (Proverbs 12: 25, New Life Version)

Fretting and fearing can bring such heaviness to our lives. We feel burdened and weary even when we are well-rested. We feel unhappy even when there is much good around us.

Let’s awake to the adverse effects of worrying and take heart! Allowing our minds to be focused on concerns, ruminating and fixating on troubles, is not doing us or anyone any good. There is wisdom in being alert to what needs healing in our thought and lives, but worrying is not healing. It can really feel like the opposite.

A good word can heal our hearts and bring peace to our experience as well. For that good word is the word of God, of Truth. As we choose to set aside our worry and instead listen for guidance, insight, and inspiration, this settles and calms and leads us to clarity, solutions, and gladness.

We can listen for the good word of God with grateful expectation. And we can also assist others, take the weight of care from them, by offering a good word to them—one that compassionately, understandingly, uplifts and encourages them and naturally brings us enlightenment and joy as well.

“God gives us what it takes to do all that we do. He makes us worthy to be the servants of his new agreement that comes from the Holy Spirit and not from a written Law. After all, the Law brings death, but the Spirit brings life.” (II Corinthians 3: 5-6, Contemporary English Version)

We have an agreement with God. This holy covenant is God’s established relationship with us, one that is built on Truth and Love, and made to endure.

Under this divine contract, we are worthy representatives of God’s Word and His works in our world. We come under His authority as we agree to our true nature, our genuine heritage as children of God, of Love, of Truth.

This is not about human laws or even religious doctrine. This inspired thought and healing behavior is natural to us as we abide in the very Spirit of God. It isn’t about human judgment or education or power. It is about a wonderful release to Love, that glorious spark of light within us that is ready to warm and brighten lives around us and our own as well.

That light of Truth, that kindness, receptivity, humility, honesty within us, radiates God’s purpose, and so is full of Life. It’s bound in all that is eternal, not in the mortal which is finite and limited.

All that we need to be God’s own expression, true to His cause, is given to us by God Himself. He has appointed and anointed us, and He is with us always in all that we do to share His powerful, healing light.

“And let the loveliness of our Lord, our God, rest on us, confirming the work that we do. Oh, yes. Affirm the work that we do!” (Psalms 90: 17, the Message Bible)

God’s approval is heaven. We treasure His full affirmation that we are on track, doing the good work God would have us do, and doing it in a way that is pleasing to Him, to Truth and Life.

This confirmation is not like the good review we might seek from a human boss or someone to whom we feel responsible. It is that sweet recognition that God has of us, of the very idea that He made. It is the great loveliness that rests upon us through His enduring and conscious Love for us.

As we accept and bask in God’s tender affection and live in a way that genuinely honors that Love and goodness, we can feel that blessing upon us. We are led to do good, naturally, and not for the sake of proving ourselves to men—pushing, struggling, pursuing the reward of money and fame. Instead, we feel aligned with the beauty of God, moving forward and achieving in a way that is graceful as well as productive.

Oh, yes, let’s seek and respond to God’s voice—leading us, encouraging us, and confirming that we are exactly what He created us to be!
