“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me.” (Psalms 138: 7, Amplified Bible)
There will surely be challenging days. It’s a part of living. We will be confronted with issues that seem difficult to manage or that require something of us that we are not sure we have. These times can seem depleting. We may feel overwhelmed and like we are stuck, helpless, and maybe ready to give up.
But we are not alone and without resources. These humbling situations are occasions to give up—but not in the way of surrendering to the problems. Instead, we give up and give over our worries and our own personal sense of responsibility to the divine hand. We can hand it all over to the right hand of righteousness.
For God’s right hand is there to slay the enemies to our well-being—fear, anger, doubt, sickness, insecurity, lack, and the attacks of those who seem against us. God’s right hand, symbolizes power, authority, as well as honor and blessing. It is God’s Truth and Love doing what it does—protecting us, reviving us, uplifting us, comforting us, leading us by our humble hands into a place of peace, progress, and renewal.
