Sing to the Eternal of all the good things He’s done. Bless His name; broadcast the good news of His salvation each and every day.” (Psalms 96: 2, the Voice Translation)

What if we devoted our time and energy to praising God, to celebrating Life’s blessings, to broadcasting good news actively and regularly? What a difference we might make in the way in which we live our lives and the positive impact we might have on the world as well.

The broadcasts of today can be compelling, announcing bad news, engendering fear, promoting self and encouraging comparisons and envy. God gave us the power to communicate, to express ourselves and to be actively engaged with others. When we look around us and get caught up in negative reacting, our voices add to the noise, the confusion, and certainly don’t settle or bring peace to us or anyone.

But when we respond to God’s voice, to goodness, to Love, to the beauty of God’s creation, we can be constructive. Our songs to the eternal, our recognition of what is good and right in ourselves and others, counters the cacophony and reveals our natural desire for and capacity for harmony.

We can pause to listen to God and then sing His song. We can joyously and gratefully announce the Truth, bringing the saving good news to vital light for one and all.
