“Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us?” (Malachi 2: 10)

This question and its implicit answer can really wake us up in times of disagreement and challenge. We can look at others and ourselves in this more honest way. We can stop seeing individuals or nations or cultures as “other” and begin to see that we are all family.

For we have one creator, God, and He is the Father and Mother of everyone. No one is made by some other, lesser creator, and no one is less loved or special to God. God has formed each one of us out of His own brilliant qualities, designed us to radiate His goodness and love. We express Him in diverse ways, but we are all connected. We are all brothers and sisters.

This divine relationship is one that we can keep before our thought. We all have one Father, and that Father is Love itself. We are truly made of Love, and this is our common ground, our mutual quality and purpose. As we feel and express this Love, we align ourselves with who we truly are, who God made us to be, and this brings peace, respect, healing, harmony, and a feeling of true family with all mankind.

“Let us be thankful, then, because we receive a kingdom that cannot be shaken. Let us be grateful and worship God in a way that will please him, with reverence and awe;” (Hebrews 12: 28, Good News Translation)

Let’s start and end with gratitude. Let’s be aware that while the world around us may feel unsteady, we are really grounded on something so much stronger: God’s unshakeable realm, the Truth of being.

This kingdom is not something we must wait for. It is with us now, a living consciousness of goodness, peace, love. We feel and enjoy this beautiful kingdom in our hearts and in our lives as we awaken to God, to a loving power that is greater than our egos and more powerful than evil and limitation.

Each day we can begin to live in this kingdom as we think and behave more in accord with God, with good. As we let go of our own sense of control, our fears, our fixation on others and what they are or are not doing, we feel freer and more generous. Our conscious reverence opens us up to the gifts we have and to those around us. This inspires us and makes us less likely to take things for granted and more likely to be genuinely grateful and loving and happy as well.

“Discover creative ways to encourage others and to motivate them toward acts of compassion, doing beautiful works as expressions of love.” (Hebrews 10: 24, the Passion Translation)

We can use our creativity as a means of inspiring others. We can find fresh and genuine ways to bring out the best in those around us, naturally encouraging them to meaningful acts of love and goodness.

There’s no one set way to be a spiritual leader, to be one who wants to make a positive difference in the world. As we look to our own hearts and listen for guidance, we are led to new opportunities to buoy one another. We can choose to motivate individuals to be kind and compassionate not simply by telling them to do this. We can discover our own gifts, touching the spirits of others in ways that make them truly want to do good, because they feel full and uplifted themselves.

Artistic expression, humor, simply listening and responding from our hearts, are just some ways that we can reach and stimulate others to positive thoughts and actions. As we do our own beautiful works as expressions of love, others can’t help but discover their own gifts and want to share them in ways that are unselfish, kind, and healing.

“I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close.” (Revelation 3: 8, New Living Translation)

The door is open. This door is the way of Life. It is that awareness of God and of our oneness with Him, the Christ-message. This is the threshold to healing, progress, peace, joy.

We may think that the doorway to satisfaction and success can be closed by people, circumstances, or by our own actions or choice. But no one really can shut what God has opened, the inspiration that leads to the understanding of our heavenly harmony, here and now.

God knows the things we do, as this verse says. He sees the heart and soul of us that He created. He knows the good that we achieve and our potential. We may not always feel confident that we are acting rightly, but as we yearn to be better, to live with more love, to be humble and receptive, God continues to guide us forward.

No one can stop us from experiencing that birthright of freedom that God reveals to us. Let’s willingly and eagerly go through that open door into an expanded sense of life, and take with us gratitude, generosity, and love.

“I’m leaving you well and whole. That’s my parting gift to you. Peace. I don’t leave you the way you’re used to being left—feeling abandoned, bereft. So don’t be upset. Don’t be distraught.” (John 14: 27, the Message Bible)

Jesus left his disciples with a blessing. He assured them that his parting would not be a loss of anything good and saving. They would be whole and peaceful.

Jesus knew that it was the Christ, that message of God’s Oneness and Love, that had changed those individuals. He knew that this active ideal, this living presence, would never leave them. Or any of us.

God’s Love and Life, expressed so beautifully through His son, Jesus, is a Truth that is not found or lost in a physical personality. When we rely on people as our salvation, as our answer to well-being, their loss can feel like abandonment, like we are needy and alone. But Jesus was telling us that we are always whole. We can’t lose the presence of God’s Love, and it is this very Love that we see reflected in those individuals we hold dear.

God’s Love abides and endures. The Christ-Truth that tells us of our own relationship to God as His sons and daughters, is always here and powerful. Don’t be upset. You are never left without God’s protection and affection. Jesus’ glorious promise is now at hand for you and for all.

“The Lord will command his lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.” (Psalms 42: 8)

Day and night, God’s presence and kindness is with us. We can be open to and conscious of God’s blessings, His Love making its presence known in our lives. God commands His lovingkindness, according to this verse. It is not merely a hope or a possibility. It is a divine mandate, a law of goodness enforced by Truth.

This realization dawns in our days, brightening them. And at night, we have a lullaby, His tender, comforting song. We can end our days with gratitude and a release to His continued, abiding Love. We can hear His song in the night, listen for its beauty and inspiration, and let it fill us, carry us away from ruminating, blaming, fearing.

For Love is the God of our lives. This 24-hour, constant, eternal, ever-present goodness is what truly constitutes and sustains our lives. It is forever at hand, waking us to new ideas and opportunities each day and tucking us in at night with a sweet song of peace and love.

“Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.” (Proverbs 16: 3, Amplified Bible)

As we entrust God with our lives, our careers, the work we do and the responsibilities we seem to have, we gain a freedom from burden. We release the sense of being sole providers and determinants of our own well-being and that of people around us. We feel powerfully supported, and our humble trust opens us up to inspiration and practical guidance.

God’s will is good. He is flawless Mind and perfect Love. His will isn’t something we must yield to with blindness or resignation. As we loosen our grip on our own personal ego and the pride that comes with it, we truly feel and understand the gift of this trust. We come into alignment with God’s design, one which is progressive and peaceful. His purpose doesn’t deny us any right thing but offers us success and blessings.

If we feel we don’t know what is next, how to decide what to do and be, how to act or respond, we can commit to God, to good. We can trust the divine intention to reveal itself to our willing, not willful, hearts and minds. We can be guided naturally into what is next, right, and pleasing for us and which benefits others as well.

“Yes, because God’s your refuge, the High God your very own home, evil can’t get close to you, harm can’t get through the door. He ordered his angels to guard you wherever you go.” (Psalms 91: 9-11, Message Bible)

We can make our home in God. We can dwell gratefully and naturally in the holy embrace, God’s Love for us. This safehouse, this comforting space, is right where we are, for God is ever-present. We can realize this Truth and feel the peace it brings.

God is all-powerful, and we can let Him be that for us. We can lean into His strength and confidence. We can release to His wisdom. We can shelter within His protection, the law of good that is enduring, in spite of what appears to assail it. We are not alone. God is on every side of us, our refuge wherever we are, always near and devoted.

God’s fullness of care means there are always His angels attending to us. The right thoughts, the intuitions and aid, are at hand to guard and guide. Those angels are the perfect ones to meet our particular needs—strong, calming, healing, wise, uplifting, and loyal.

Evil can’t get through the door of God’s house, His abiding and powerful Love for you.

“Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you.” (I Peter 5: 7, the Passion Translation)

We can let go of all those worries. We can release that stress and go about our lovely lives.

God is always tenderly caring for us. His infinite Love abides. It is behind us, ahead of us, and with us. The concerns and fears have no place and no power in His boundless affection. We can pour out every troubling thought and every tension. We can just let it flow out. And when all of that darkness is gone, what is left?

God. His goodness and light remain—steady and safe, assuring, wise, full of tender mercy and kindness. We don’t have to rationalize this surrender to God. We can stop justifying our reasons for fear and doubt, giving them more life by clinging to them, giving them power they don’t really have.

Let it all go and leave it where it lays. Feel the freedom and peace that comes of that activity—of letting Love, not worry, carry your day and advance you on your way.

“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12: 32)

Being a sheep, a dear lamb in God’s flock, doesn’t mean we have no freedom. Indeed, it means the very opposite. Being a part of God’s flock—one of His children, watched over and cared for—means we receive the kingdom.

And the greatest quality of God’s kingdom of harmony and Love is the fearlessness it gives us. And the less fear we have, the more free we are, the more we can really live and enjoy the riches of being, the glorious opportunities and possibilities that are at hand.

This kingdom isn’t a far-off place, and it isn’t something we have to earn through some perfect humanhood. It is God’s pleasure to give it to us because He is our Father, as Jesus tells us, and we are His children, His flock. This is the fact of our being now, so this sense of peace and joy and well-being is ours now as well.

We are shepherded by God’s attention and affection. We are not alone alternating between hope and dread. We live under the care of the One Who is Love. The kingdom, the awareness of the presence of pure Love, is ours right now, right here. Fear not!
