“Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you.” (I Peter 5: 7, the Passion Translation)

We can let go of all those worries. We can release that stress and go about our lovely lives.

God is always tenderly caring for us. His infinite Love abides. It is behind us, ahead of us, and with us. The concerns and fears have no place and no power in His boundless affection. We can pour out every troubling thought and every tension. We can just let it flow out. And when all of that darkness is gone, what is left?

God. His goodness and light remain—steady and safe, assuring, wise, full of tender mercy and kindness. We don’t have to rationalize this surrender to God. We can stop justifying our reasons for fear and doubt, giving them more life by clinging to them, giving them power they don’t really have.

Let it all go and leave it where it lays. Feel the freedom and peace that comes of that activity—of letting Love, not worry, carry your day and advance you on your way.
