Daily Inspiration, November 21st

“Man reflects infinite Truth, Life, and Love. The nature of man, thus understood, includes all that is implied by the terms ‘image’ and ‘likeness’ as used in Scripture.” (Science and Health, page 94)

There is nothing small or limited about man. Being the image of God does not mean expressing a certain number of characteristics, as many as can be expressed by a human personality dwelling in a human body. We are so much more.

The image and likeness of God, is the reflection of Spirit, not of matter or corporeality. This reflected being must express in a way that only Spirit can—infinitely. We are each individually and all collectively the reflection of God’s infinite Truth, Life, and Love. We are not limited in these qualities and they cannot be impaired or lost. Reflection is true to the original. The reflected idea does not have control over its own magnificence, but abides by the very limitless quality that is God.

Know yourself truly. See that the whole of Truth is available to you and inherent in you. This fullness leaves no room for error. Recognize that all the Life there is, is your own being, always in you and with you to be lived. Realize that infinite Love is the substance of your being. You are never wanting in love or incapable of loving others. You reflect love fully and perfectly.

This infinitely vital, good, and lovely character is yours always and now because you are forever the natural and necessary reflection of a boundlessly wonderful God.
