“When man gives up his belief in death, he will advance more rapidly towards God, Life, Love.” (Science and Health, page 429)
Let’s daily take death by its horns and show it who is boss. The belief of death is burdening our days, making us live within limits and agree that those limits are acceptable, inevitable. If we are to truly experience and explore the full reality and goodness of Life, we must give death a rest, so to speak.
I’m not saying this is easy. Mortal mind is fixed on mortality by nature. It is all about finiteness, a beginning and an inevitable end. A fear of death would color all that we are and all that we do. It would make us paranoid of others, afraid of our own bodies, and agreeing to life made of phases that diminish our being when in fact progress is the law. But we can deny that mortal mind our attention and turn to the immortal Mind which holds the Truth of Life for you and for all. This Mind reveals our present salvation.
Let’s daily, no matter what our human age is, release ourselves from the thought and fear of death. Its mesmerism is keeping us from seeing the fullness of our lives, the broadening possibilities, our available and eternal well-being no longer confined within a box of time. Life is everlasting. You are eternal and without an end. You dwell in God and the eternal Now of His Love. You are always safe in the reality of Life. You can’t leave the presence of God Who is Life, so there is nothing to fear, nothing that can separate you from God and from your rightful, abundant, carefree, wonderful Life!
