“Creation is ever appearing, and must ever continue to appear from the nature of its inexhaustible source.” (Science and Health, page 507)

God is Creator. This is His title and His nature. He has made all and made it perfectly. He is also Life, Spirit, Love, so this completeness continues to live and expand and express.

God is an inexhaustible Source. He never runs out of ideas or gets wearied in activity and thought. This Soul of ours is abundantly sharing His ideas with us and through us. Creativity, fresh inspiration, new adventures and opportunities, all flow from God’s graceful boundlessness. And we are always at one with this unfolding brilliance. For we are one with God and the object and expression of His holy purpose.

Stay awake in each moment to the Creator’s new masterpiece. Its design is already known by Him and it is revealed in His right time and right way. It is the poetry and art and music and various colors of Soul’s hand that appear to us as the magic and majesty of Life. The divine Source never gets blocked, never loses His power to be compelling, uplifting, and satisfying.

You are always at the point of witnessing something vibrant and beautiful and just right. The Creator is full of goodness and He is sharing it with you!

Daily Inspiration, October 17th

“Bow down and worship the Lord our Creator!…Listen to God’s voice today! (Psalms 95: 6-7, Contemporary English Version)

This is a demand and truly a wonderful invitation! Don’t delay in responding. God’s voice is ready to be heard today. His trusting guidance and wisdom and certainty and strength and boundless Love are at hand.

We can choose to ignore His voice. We can wait and seek more human information and the testimony of the physical senses first. Or, we can just listen up right now, for God’s very specific guidance and affection and direction and protection. And we can recognize that those noises that may make it hard to hear (including our own doubts and fears and judgment) can be quieted when we consciously worship God.

As we humble ourselves to our God, our Creator, we are yielding to authority. We have let go of a belief that we are the god of our own life, or that we are not ready to perceive Truth and to live as God caused us to live. But, through our conscious reverence for and gratitude to God and a recognition of His governing goodness, our ears and our eyes are open for His Word and its expression in our lives.

Today is the day! Rejoice. Listen. Gratefully praise!

Daily Inspiration, October 12th

“Consecration to good does not lessen man’s dependence on God, but heightens it. Neither does consecration diminish man’s obligations to God, but shows the paramount necessity of meeting them.” (Science and Health, page 262)

Consecration is a sacred devotion to a higher power. This power we know to be God—infinite good and perfect and perpetual Love. A conscious dedication to God brings us the great gift of reliance. By drawing closer to Him and giving Him our true worship and respect, we gain the true freedom that comes of trust. We are not in control, but we know Who is, and we are fearless and joyous in this awareness.

Yet, we also discover that consecration doesn’t mean we have nothing to do and no part in this holy relationship. As we come to know God and all He is and does, this is our call to action and our duty made clear and bold. Goodness realized and yet not practiced is not true worship. If we are to remain one with God, then we must be ready to glorify and praise Him in our lives.

And we do this not by merely saying we love God and man, but in really loving. It means we utilize those qualities God has revealed to us. It means we magnify our worship by being and doing good. This right and supremely natural activity can only make us more intimately and honestly conscious of the Truth—of Life and Love as it really is, for us and for all.

Daily Inspiration, October 10th

“Though the way is dark in mortal sense, divine Life and Love illumine it, destroy the unrest of mortal thought, the fear of death, and the supposed reality of error. Christian Science, contradicting sense, maketh the valley to bud and blossom as the rose.” (Science and Health, page 596)

The law of Life that the Christ revealed is our healing solution in all circumstances. This trustworthy, practical Truth of being shines a light even when we feel we are lost in a dark wilderness, wandering without clarity and carrying a heavy burden of doubt.

Mortal thought seems always in unrest and fear. It’s that thinking that believes in and is preoccupied with the limited, the finite, the material. It can be mesmerizing and overwhelming at times. But while this mortal consciousness seems to present the firm reality, it is truly only a lie about life that the Christ-Truth comes to actively correct. We have this Christ within us. It is our spiritual sense. It is that true insight that sees beyond the fog of sense to the Truth of God’s creation—man made in God’s image, expressing infinite Life and perfect Love.

And when we make this conscious choice to utilize these true senses, this inner knowing we have, it not only brightens things, it brings true progress. We see that very valley we’ve felt lost in, blossom with our new understanding. We gratefully witness the loving and reviving Truth coming to light in our thoughts and in our lives.

Daily Inspiration, October 5th

“You will keep the peace, a perfect peace, for all who trust in You, for those who dedicate their hearts and minds to You.” (Isaiah 26: 3, The Voice Translation)

We all so often seek peace. We truly want to feel that sense of rightness, completeness, calm in our minds and in our lives. We’re looking for a more peaceful relationship, a less stressful job, a world that isn’t confusing and frustrating, a body that isn’t nagging at us or disturbing our composure.

We can discover this peace through various human methods, and they can bring us temporary solace. But for that perfect peace that is more than a surface moment of calm, we must look to and trust in God. He is peace, for He is the very presence of infinite and active goodness.

God’s peace is found in a release to Him, to Truth and Love, as the law and the power. It is having faith in God and His loving control. It also requires our dedicating ourselves to Him, with sincerity and conviction. That true and lasting peace comes as we honesty choose to serve God, good, and not self, material distractions, and the world’s expectations.

When our hearts and minds are dedicated to Love, we feel that rightness within. And this is peace, a perfect peace.

Daily Inspiration, October 3rd

“…the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.” (Galatians 5: 22-23, Amplified Bible)

When we act as the result of God’s presence in us, we stand on a firm foundation. The conscious awareness of God, good, dwelling with us and in us, leads us to the most honest and fruitful experience. We are aligned with God’s purpose and express His qualities naturally and effectively.

Knowing and accepting God’s infinitude, we can’t help but be loving and unselfish. For we understand that Love is boundless, powerful, and the most pleasing to receive as well as to share. This inner knowing of Love, impels us toward good works, not merely because it is humanly nice, but because this compassion and kindness, gentleness and graciousness, is the way we truly want to be. It feels genuine because it comes from the heart, from God’s presence with us, not the world’s expectations.

And so, we stand on the invincible law of Life. This assures us in each moment that in being about God’s business, we are protected as well as productive. We feel peaceful and patient, and this gives us that freedom and incentive to do good works, without fear and with God’s own faithful strengthening Love behind us.

Daily Inspiration, September 28th

“We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God.” (II Corinthians 10: 4-5, New Living Translation)

If we are alert and caring, we likely feel we are being led to do battle, or at the very least to defend our values, our ideals, our right to peace and joy. It may seem that our fight is righteous, and, if we are led by good motives, it most likely is!

But, let’s listen carefully to Paul’s advice. It is God’s wisdom that can foil our enemy as nothing else can. For if we fight against hate and judgment and fear, but utilize these sentiments as our own weapons or as our reasons, we are only promoting the very thing we hope to destroy. And, we are clearly picking up weapons that have no real power at all!

Our motive and our method must come from Truth if we are to win the day as well as to achieve our own freedom—true peace of mind and peace in our experience. We must remember God and that our deepest desire is to know Him—to know goodness and Love, harmony and heaven. And, if we want the world to comply with this loving ideal, then it behooves us to tear down, not raise up, the obstacles to that awareness.

No, it isn’t easy. The bluster of evil seems stronger than the quiet voice of love and reason. But this small voice, when fueled and inspired by God’s purpose, is omnipotent. It has the ability, never found in the world’s “weapons,” to awaken, to soothe, to heal, to unify, and to bless one and all.

Daily Inspiration, September 26th

“So it is when I declare something. My word will go out and not return to Me empty, But it will do what I wanted; it will accomplish what I determined. For you will go out in joy, be led home in peace.” (Isaiah 55: 11-12, Voice Translation)

We tend to think that our lives and our projects and our aspirations are reliant on our own wits and will and on circumstances or people. But it truly is God’s purpose and His follow-up that assures our success. His Word, revealed through us and our lives, is Truth, and it comes with deliberate intention and focused power.

Let’s continue to listen for God’s wisdom and guidance concerning our lives. God’s plans for us and His original reason for bringing us into being, are never fruitless or mistaken. They don’t run out of gas and fall away over time; these ideals of infinite Spirit don’t back off because of material limits and obstacles.

God has declared that we “go out in joy” and “be led home in peace.” We have been created to fulfill a special place and God’s own mighty certainty remains with us and for us. He has made you to prosper. He has given you angel ideas that resonate with you and remind you of why you are here and what God is all about.

These truths of Life are from God, and they are for Him. They don’t return to God empty. You and your divine purpose fulfills God’s Love, glorifies His Life, praises His goodness with your very being. Fully. Completely. Always.

Daily Inspiration, September 21st

“For his Holy Spirit speaks to us deep in our hearts and tells us that we really are God’s children.” (Romans 8: 16, Living Bible)

You are God’s beloved. You are His sweet and wonderful and worthy child. You are the expression of His own goodness, creativity, glory. This is the Truth of you.

Does it seem that this description is off track or that it got lost as you grew up and had experiences and made mistakes and were hurt? Does it feel like that ideal is too good to be true? The world around you and your own judging thought might have you feel this way. It may seem that we are the children of mortals and of circumstance, and destined to be limited and flawed, damaged or destructible.

But the Holy Spirit tells us otherwise. This Spirit of Truth, that isn’t colored or influenced by the world’s presentations and limitations and reservations and qualifications, is telling you who you really are. And this voice of God, of immortal Love, is found deep in your heart, in that place that is untouched by lies and secure in eternal Truth.

Listen to your heart. Feel within you and accept what you honestly know is true, because it feels so right and freeing. You are God’s child. You are exactly what He made and loves. You always will be.

Daily Inspiration, September 19th

“Beauty is a thing of life, which dwells forever in the eternal Mind and reflects the charms of His goodness in expression, form, outline, and color.” (Science and Health, page 247)

Beauty is spiritual. It is a quality of God, sublime and yet infinitely at hand. Loveliness exists in every place and forever, because Love is ever-present and eternal. We are always on the receiving end as well as the expression of true beauty.

God’s goodness finds its radiant realization throughout the diverse ideas in His universe. What we can appreciate in color and design, structure and line, music and movement, melody and harmony, is God’s creativity being revealed to us. And this beauty is not only Soul’s gift to us—a wondrous spiritual connection to our Source—it is also the very nature of our own being.

For we are God’s greatest masterpiece, His supreme composition. We are the ideal way in which He makes beauty and grace and glory known. His qualities are not temporal or destructible. They exist forever and we can never fail to be the reflection of God’s own attributes—everything that is pleasing, lovely, good, full of life and in every way worthy of appreciation and celebration!
