Peaceful-1

“You will keep the peace, a perfect peace, for all who trust in You, for those who dedicate their hearts and minds to You.” (Isaiah 26: 3, The Voice Translation)

We all so often seek peace. We truly want to feel that sense of rightness, completeness, calm in our minds and in our lives. We’re looking for a more peaceful relationship, a less stressful job, a world that isn’t confusing and frustrating, a body that isn’t nagging at us or disturbing our composure.

We can discover this peace through various human methods, and they can bring us temporary solace. But for that perfect peace that is more than a surface moment of calm, we must look to and trust in God. He is peace, for He is the very presence of infinite and active goodness.

God’s peace is found in a release to Him, to Truth and Love, as the law and the power. It is having faith in God and His loving control. It also requires our dedicating ourselves to Him, with sincerity and conviction. That true and lasting peace comes as we honesty choose to serve God, good, and not self, material distractions, and the world’s expectations.

When our hearts and minds are dedicated to Love, we feel that rightness within. And this is peace, a perfect peace.
