“There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.” (I Corinthians 12:4-7, New Living Translation)

We have all been blessed with special gifts, spiritual qualities that come to light in our human experience in a myriad of ways. God made us to express His own goodness, light, Truth, and Love. We are the evidence of all that He is, and we perpetuate His presence and glory through the things that we do and through who we are in the world.

Every one of us is unique in the way in which we radiate God’s light. But the Source is the same. God’s powerful, infinite, Spirit infuses each of us with the power to do good, to share beauty, to inspire, to help, to comfort, to uplift, to bring humor and color and joy to our world.

Let’s remember that we are special in our purpose, but that we are in natural harmony with others. As we continue to listen to God’s direction, to reconnect with His loving intention for us and for humanity, we discover new gifts, refine old talents, and take joy in knowing that we have more to give than we may have believed.

God did not make any useless or unnecessary ideas. We each have something to offer. And all that we do, in the service of good, is really accomplished by God, by His active qualities in us, in all.
