“For every persistent one will get what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he longs for. And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door.” (Matthew 7:8, the Passion Translation) 

Persistence is a quality worth discovering and utilizing. The faithful pursuit of what is right and good brings us rich rewards. When we persistently seek, we shall abundantly find.

This diligent commitment isn’t about willfully pushing for a human agenda of accomplishment or following a proscribed road to human success. It is an inner, honest seeking of what God would have us see and know. It is questioning and yet not giving up. It is truly wanting to know what is right and good, rather than what seems easiest or what the world might try to sell us.

Let’s recognize that we all have a natural persistence within us. We can seek with the expectation of discovery. We have this promise that we will surely find, in the right time and way, what we are looking for. We can enjoy the daily doses of inspiration, the seeds of truth, the enlightenment, that feed us daily and encourage us to keep on asking and expecting beautiful, progressive, healing answers.
