“Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee:” (Deuteronomy 4: 36)

We were made to be attuned to God’s voice, to His wisdom and guidance. God’s instruction is divine. It proceeds from heaven—from that harmonious and perfect state of Mind which is above the earthly, the mortal.

But while this ideal of God’s consciousness is elevated, transcending the limited view of life in matter, it is in no way distant from you and me and our human experiences. This heavenly, divinely true intelligence is near and recognizable. We were created with the innate capacity to hear God and to feel His presence, to know the ring of Truth that can set us free.

In fact, because we are in and of God, we also dwell in this heaven. It is home to us. We are naturally familiar with the language of Truth because it feels right and real. So, as we consciously turn from the noise of the senses and the world and lean into the voice out of heaven, we can hear God instructing us, restoring us to our rightful state of peace and progress.
