“I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).” (Galatians 5: 16, Amplified Bible Classic Edition)

Make it a habit. Get in the practice of consciously releasing your life to God. Do your best to live in relation to Him—responding to Love’s wisdom rather than reacting to the world’s complaints and to the unreliable wits and will of the ego.

If we live in awareness of God, of good, we feel a true sense of control over ourselves and our behaviors. We are less likely to be pulled into actions and thoughts that aren’t healthy or helpful. We find ourselves feeling less burdened, so we are calmer, more ready to be open and kind rather than touchy or defensive.

As we habitually accept this true Spirit within us and trust its higher, purer motives, we progress in our experience and find more peace. We naturally bring light to others as we accept and respond to God’s holier view of us and of all.
