“I have chosen the faithful way; I have placed Your ordinances before me. I will run the way of Your commandments [with purpose], For You will give me a heart that is willing.” (Psalms 119: 30, 32)
God guides us in a path that is right, wise, safe, and faithful to His purpose. And He also supplies us with one thing that we really need to succeed.
God gives us a willing heart. For isn’t it so often that we know what we should be doing, we can see the way ahead, we are aware of the higher goal, and yet we feel resistant or uncommitted? The psalmist reminds us that we can trust God to give us that humble willingness. We can recognize that the very commandments He gave us are at the ready to reveal the way to obey, to want to, with gratitude and even eagerness.
We have chosen the faithful way. That is, we have agreed to believe in God, good, and in our relationship with Him. We may not always be certain or ready to fully understand and follow, but we seek to discover, we want to know and do what God calls us to do. Our hearts tell us that He wants what is best, most suited to us, and what will cause us to thrive.
And so, divine Love will show us not only what to do, but how to do it. Love will give us that willingness we need in order to listen moment by moment, and follow God’s lead, to let our egos go and allow God’s Truth to energize us to walk, even run, the path of His holy purpose.

That picture reminds me of the human experience. Keep running but you have no idea where you will end up or how long the road is!!!!! AND… there don’t appear to be any fast food stops along the way!!! 😭😥👿😠
