burdenlift

“Since God cares for you, let Him carry all your burdens and worries.” (I Peter 5: 7, the Voice Translation)

This is a sure formula for success! If we trust the first part of this statement, we can gratefully obey its concluding recommendation. The end result is that we see that loving care in action in our lives, which makes us trust even more!

Let’s consciously remember that God does care for you. His Love goes beyond what we even can humanly qualify or comprehend. God is not simply a loving Being; He is Love itself. His goodness towards us knows no bounds and is always right where we are.

We can take full advantage of this fact. He wants us to! We can allow God to do what He so powerfully does and cast our burdens, doubts, worries, fears on Him. We can remember that we are not alone. It isn’t even a choice. We are forever at one with God and all that He is—omnipotence, wisdom, gentleness, peace, harmony, authority.

Let’s willingly give up the belief that our ego is in control and must carry the load of that responsibility. God is in charge and He knows how to lift your cares off your shoulders, reveal your freedom, and carry you forward progressively, tenderly, and naturally.
