“Deceit fills hearts that are plotting evil; joy fills hearts that are planning peace!” (Proverbs 12: 20, New Living Translation)

What are you planning? Are you consciously planning for peace? Are you thinking about what will bring harmony to yourself and to others in your life?

Let’s remember that deceit really is anything that doesn’t represent what it true. It is being dishonest in any way. Are we allowing our thoughts to be filled with the darkness of envisioning trouble, bracing for the worst? Do we find ourselves ruminating unnecessarily over what others will do to hurt us, malign us, or rob us of our happiness?  We may not be plotting evil outright, but are we deliberately, purposefully preparing for good?

Let’s recognize and reject any dishonest, negative, deceptive thinking. Let’s instead fill our thoughts with the Truth, with Love. We can choose to stop lowering our expectations for others and for life and for ourselves, and plan for peace. We can willingly expect rightness and resolution and feel that natural joy that this wonderful and powerful thinking brings to our hearts and which naturally blesses others as well!
