“And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day:” (Isaiah 58: 10)

Giving is empowering. Kindness is energizing. Compassion is uplifting.

Why is this? It is because when we act like we were built to act; when we draw upon and express our natural goodness, we are at one with the infinite Almighty, with that which is Truth and reality and righteousness. This authentic selfhood takes off the mask of fear and selfishness, and the light of our true selves shines for all to see.

You will know your own greatness through service. You will be known by raising others up. Be willing to respond to that love within you that seeks to help, to share, to give. And be assured that you always have an abundance of loving care to offer. Recognize that in small as well as larger ways you can serve others by expressing Life and Love, without putting conditions or judgments on the worth of your gift or on your own capacity.

You were created to radiate God’s presence, to be the very light to the darkness that might appear in your own life as well as the lives of others. Know that when you unite with God, boundless goodness, you will always have more than enough to give and with it a sense of true success and prosperity. And your riches shared will only establish and declare your own grandeur, that light that brightens others simply by its presence—the glow of Love in you.
