“We must look where we would walk, and we must act as possessing all power from Him in whom we have our being.” (Science and Health, p. 264)
If we want to progress in our lives, we need to move in the right direction. We can choose to take steps with God, looking forward toward good, rather than over our shoulder at the past or standing still with fear.
We can make these advances with confidence. We can walk in alignment with God, neither getting ahead of Him nor lagging behind. We can keep our spiritual eyes focused on what matters—on a truer sense of life and of love. We can let our insight, rather than our physical senses and material beliefs, guide us. We can allow patient gratitude to displace complaint and doubt.
And we can do what feels right and healing without presuming that we are not ready, worthy, strong enough to do so. Our power comes from God. As we trust in Him, we have the legitimate ability to triumph over troubles and to walk freely on His perfect, pleasing, productive path of Life.
