“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten…And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.” (Joel 2: 25-26)

Receive this comforting promise. We shall have restoration. What seems to have been lost—our good and our progress eaten by the locusts of time and circumstance—will bloom afresh. We can expect renewal and abundance from our God Who loves us.

Divine Love replenishes us with new inspiration, provision, growth in understanding, and expanding experience. We can do our best to stop focusing on the locusts—seeing ourselves as victims of life, time, matter, other people—and be open and ready to be made new.

And we can allow ourselves to appreciate our renovation without shame or guilt. Any losses, mistakes, dark episodes of yesterday, can be washed away along with the unkind imprint of them on us. We can invite God in to give us His plenteous grace, mercy, and to restore us with more than enough to be satisfied and to be generous with our joy as well.
