“Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.” (Isaiah 48: 17)

God gives us a definition of Himself in this passage. He describes clearly His relationship with each of us and clarifies any misconceptions.

Our God does not punish us. He redeems us. He saves us from the wrong way, rescues us, and reminds us who we truly are—His own children. God doesn’t leave us alone to figure things out. He doesn’t make us prove that we are good enough to succeed through our own wits and will. God teaches us daily and with the intention that we profit. He brings us insight and wisdom, the intelligence that helps us to prosper.

We may not know the way we need to go or be able to see into the future. But God is ready to lead us, to guide us forward into tomorrow. He knows the way. While we may think we know what we should do, God can lead us into what is truly right by His standards. He knows what is best for us, suits us, causes us to progress, and at the same time to feel safe, loved, home.
