Daily Inspiration, September 4th

“For his allowance, a regular allowance was given him by the king, a portion every day, as long as he lived.” (II Kings 25: 30, New Revised Standard Version)

This assurance is ours to receive. We are given the promise of goodness, enough for each day, every day.

Our guarantee of this daily blessing doesn’t come from a human ruler or government, but from the divine One. Our Father-Mother-God Who made us and is abundant in every good thing, is bestowing what is needful for us every hour. God is Love, and this Love is reliable, constant, and precise.

Let’s stop being anxious about our provision, our supply—when it will run out, how we will keep it or increase it. Let’s recognize that the very Source of our care is boundless and loves us without measure. As we willingly receive this Love, we accept into our experience the right manifestations of that Love, to meet the need of the day. This evidence of supply may be monetary; it may be timely comfort; it may be new opportunity; it may be business coming to us; it may be inspired ideas that energize and move us forward. Our provision may also appear as a laugh, a song, a gesture rightly timed and satisfying.

God knows what we need now, and He is ready for our tomorrow. We can relax into this moment’s grace and know that there is more to come, right for each day, a portion that is sufficient in all ways and brings us peace.
