Daily Inspiration, August 30th

“…the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure and full of quiet gentleness. Then it is peace-loving and courteous. It allows discussion and is willing to yield to others; it is full of mercy and good deeds. It is wholehearted and straightforward and sincere.” (James 3: 17, the Living Bible)

We all may seek wisdom. We may feel we are lacking in the perfect answers to our human affairs. We can find ourselves conflicted or unclear on choices we have to make or how to relate to others in our daily lives.

Wisdom can be elusive and indefinite when we look for it in human intelligence or advice. Even the most experienced of individuals may be wise in certain ways, but do their words have the true significance for us that is needed; are they truly unbiased by that one’s own experiences and perspectives?

True wisdom alone comes from God. His guidance and illuminating thoughts for us radiate clearly and naturally from His Mind—One that is flawless, all-knowing, and perfectly loving. God’s voice to us won’t make us uncomfortable, fearful, or guilty. His wisdom is pure, unclouded by human opinion or limitation or selfishness. It brings peace to us and to all.

When we listen without the human judgment on self and others, we are able to hear this straightforward wisdom, sincere and genuine, and absolutely just right for us. God knows what we need and He wisely, tenderly, and powerfully reveals it to each and every one of us.
