Daily Inspiration, May 3rd

reflection

“Man is God’s reflection, needing no cultivation, but ever beautiful and complete.” (Science and Health, page 527)

What would it feel like to stop trying to become something, someone, and instead relish the fact of what you already are?

God made us whole, complete, finished. He created us out of His own substance, wisdom, Love, and we are exactly what He intended. Nothing is lacking in us, and nothing can be lost. We remain fully intact and fully glorious because God is thus, and we are His reflection. We are the image of the Original, and the Original is flawless and beautiful.

We accurately express the nature of God and His goodness and Life. We can know this and begin to recognize that we don’t need anything outside of ourselves to make us into a success. We already are the very best. The joy is in discovering who we truly are. It is in being awake to every opportunity not to gain something we don’t have or regain something lost, but instead to claim and utilize what God has already given us and which remains secure for us in His faithful keeping.

God’s creation is just right, and Life is the constant revealing of this completeness, in new and glorious ways, actively reflected through you and me!
