Daily Inspiration, December 25th

“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.” (Matthew 1: 23)

The birth of Jesus signified more than a spiritually-minded leader come into the world. The virgin-birth, that pure conception of God’s Love for man, brought to light for all time the presence of God with us, and His loving intention for us.

This prophetic message of Emmanuel predated Jesus’s blessed birth. It was the message of the Holy Comforter—that Spirit of goodness and love already and always provided for man to realize and to cherish. Christmas signifies not only that a child was born who would most demonstrate the qualities of the Christ in his human life. It is truly a reminder that God Himself is with us, always, and that makes every day a holiday, a holy day, and one in which we are both a blessing and the blessed.

Celebrate Christmas with the grateful knowledge that you are never alone, never lacking in love or in peace or in joy. God, divine Love, is with us. The revelation of His son and Jesus’s deathless goodness is the Christmas gift of Truth for us all. God is in the here and now, with all His power and Love, just like on that blessed day, and you are the very child that He loves—today and every day!

Merry Christmas!
