“…ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls.” (Luke 21: 17-19)
Stay faithful. Don’t lose patience or hope. You are safe in the midst of the enemy—that thought or intention that would oppose the highest sense of good, of God as Life and Love. Don’t give up and don’t be afraid.
Patience is your friend. It is agreeing to accept that natural trust you have for good, for the Truth, and remaining peaceful, confident. Even if there seems to be a resistance to what you are doing, an ignorance or hatred for your cause and for your pure intentions, you are supported and protected. The rightness of your heart is backed by the infinite power of Truth and Love.
Remaining patient doesn’t mean remaining passive and just suffering through. What it does mean is that we continually look to God anew each day for assurance, direction, inspiration. In this way, not only are we kept safe, but we progress, we prosper. We not only endure, but we overcome and gain the real treasure. Each seeming attack against us and our good work is a stepping stone to a greater understanding and a deeper faith—the very things that give us dominion, peace, and a true victory that brings resolution and healing even to our persecuters.
