Daily Inspiration, May 20th

“…we are the children of God. And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;” (Romans 8: 16, 17)

We are not children of fate, children of time, children of mortal experience or of human generation. We are the very children of God. The offspring of God remain forever His little ones, the innocent ideas of His pure Mind and the joy of His loving heart. These dear children are never left to fend for themselves or to take over control of Life.

The children of men and of circumstance would endure limits and lack, personal flaws and betrayals. But this is not your true identity and you don’t need to settle for less than the facts. You are born of God. You are a joint-heir with Christ to the very kingdom of great goodness. You are loved as purely and significantly as Jesus, and are the natural and uncontested recipient of the full good of the Father-Mother.

Be childlike, but not childish. Don’t fuss about what you haven’t got or pout about what you want or envy another and try to take his toys from him. You are a child of God, so you are content. You are loved and have been naturally bestowed with a heritage of freedom and a full inheritance of good. You are whole, complete, without regrets or fears. Material possessions and power are elusive and unsatisfying. You have been given the very kingdom, the Love of God that is a constant and will never leave you without what is right, good, and yours.

    Thanks Laura!! Wonderfully told.

AND, the GOOD part, is that unlike heirs of human fortune, our Father didn’t pass away. We get the inheritance and our Father and Mother are still alive, still with us, still there to comfort, to wipe away the tear, to encourage and to protect. The inheritance includes a surrounding ring of chariots of fire to protect us, unlimited loaves and fish, springs of water, unlimited love and peace. Don’t we love being part of this family?

Thanks for your daily reassurance that we ARE part of the family and ARE receiving the blessings that includes.
