Daily Inspiration, May 1st

“I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” (John 14: 18)

It may feel at times as if life has left you without options and hope, or uncomfortable in your choices, your situation, or your body. But we are never at a point so far gone to be too distant for God to reach with His healing, saving, Love.

Ever-presence does not need to be sought in a distant outcome or eventual set of circumstances. It is already right where you are and it is God, infinite good, perfect Mind, Life, and Love. The comforts of the great Comforter, the Christ-Truth of being, will come. The very message of the healing goodness of God, that Jesus brought to mankind in what seemed miraculous, just keeps on coming—to you.

You will never be left alone or without an answer of peace. You will never be left to work things out through your own human ingenuity or force of will. You will never be without a tender touch of assurance when you need it, wherever you are or however guilty or ashamed or doubting you may feel. The comforting Truth of God’s Love will always be with you.

Jesus left his disciples with this assurance. His physical presence would not be with them or with us, but the very purpose and substance of his healing word would and does remain and remain active. It is the Comforter, the immediate presence of Love, and it will always come and keep on coming right to us, right where we are, right now.
