Daily Inspiration, December 11th

“And Moses went up unto God, and the Lord called unto him out of the mountain, saying…Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.” (Exodus 3, 4)

Our escape from the bondage of material sense is assured. No enemy calling itself sickness, problem, shame, fear, can pursue us, gain on us, and ensnare us into its slavery. We are free men. God has made us so, and it is by His love that we can withdraw from confining beliefs about our lives, and go safely home to the land of the free.

God reminds Moses that He has destroyed the enemy, the Egyptians chasing the chosen as they traverse the wilderness to the Promised Land. God has shown His children their release from slavery and their natural place of freedom. God had let no impediment stand in their way, clearing a path through seas and providing food in the desert on a daily basis, guiding them always.

And all of this protection and direction, God is telling Moses and each of us, is in order to bring us to Himself. God is always actively drawing us into His Truth, His Life, His perfect Love. The eagles’ wings that are both powerful and protecting soar above the illusion of material living into the reality of spiritual life. Hear and trust God’s word about your well-being, your safety, your exemption from harm. He is reminding us that we are always being borne, carried by grace to our true home, the promised land of God’s loving, undaunted, and perpetual care.
