“And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.” (Isaiah 25:9)
Be firm and faithful to God’s promise. Even when we seem to be waiting for Him, for the pure evidence of His goodness and power, we can be grateful and glad that in truth, we already have it all. We can stand expectant of the awareness of His blessing, our salvation from the belief that we can ever for an instant be separate from His grace.
Every moment gives us plenty to lean on, to rejoice in, and to grow from. We have right now the ability to rest in His Love and to remain the child of His care. We can wait and know that our full triumph is at hand, for Truth does not lie and its promise is harmony, perpetual goodness, peace and understanding. Our wait is accompanied by occasions for patience, for purification, for surrender to the Almighty and the magnitude of His Love and the necessity of His purpose.
Quiet the human will’s rushing and wait with that sweet expectancy that comes of knowing that we are at home already, and that the gifts of tomorrow’s new day will reveal that which is suitable, timely, and right. We can wait on, rest in, rely on, that Love that loves us every moment and with fullness, and begin the victory song!
