“Discover for yourself that the Lord is kind. Come to him for protection, and you will be glad.” (Psalms 34: 8, Contemporary English Version)

We may feel we really don’t know what life is all about. It may seem that we are constantly seeking a deeper understanding of who we are and of our place in the world. We may find ourselves often feeling fearful, confused, burdened.

Well, it’s time for some discovery. We can eagerly begin the experience of gaining some answers, new views, and peace. We can consciously choose to get closer to God, the Mind that made and reveals all things; the Mind, the Truth, the Life that is kind.

We can with joy and enthusiasm turn to God for our protection and direction. We won’t find ourselves feeling ashamed or afraid or insecure. Choosing to look to God—rather than self or the world for our help and our definition of life—we find Love. God does not condemn, nor does He ignore or neglect us. God is kind. And divine kindness is greater than human compassion. It saves us, heals us, uplifts us, restores us.

Let’s be ready to come to God, who knows us as we are and loves us without limit. Let’s discover this ready refuge and rejoice!
