“And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that you may always have enough of everything and may provide in abundance for every good work.” (II Corinthians 9: 8, Revised Standard Version)
We have a God of plenty. And this God is Love. He is not stingy, nor does He need to be. God, Spirit, has an infinite supply of good to bestow and is ready to do this for each of us.
We can stop the complaints and arrest our fears through our humble trust. God is a giver, and we can be open to receiving what He has to give. This may require us to release our human qualifications—our “ifs,” “ands,” and “buts”— and to have more faith in our generous Father. In order to see what is ours to receive, we may have to turn our eyes and thoughts away from comparing with what another has, believing that their good is our loss, or envying their gifts.
God is able to provide. His provisions are blessings—specific to you, just right, what the wisdom of Love surely must bestow. God is able to supply your needs in ways that not only keeps you safe, cared for, and satisfied, but which also serve His purpose. God’s abundant provision gives you what you need to do His work, to share His light and love in the wonderful ways that only you can do.
