“Radiate with the glow of the Holy Spirit and let him fill you with excitement as you serve him. Let this hope burst forth within you, releasing a continual joy.” (Romans 12: 11-12, the Passion Translation)

Serving God, good, Love’s purpose for us, is not tedious, heavy, solemn. It is a joyful experience. We feel this uplift as we release the belief in human doing, and trustingly, gratefully, allow the Holy Spirit to feed us and lead us.

When we open our hearts and let go of our preconceived plans and judgments, God’s light is felt within us, and it glows forth into our world. This radiance is not mere human optimism. It comes from an infinite, spiritual Source, and so it is powerful, healing, expansive beyond the locations where our human footsteps may seem to take us.

Knowing that we have this divine influence within us, we are filled with an excitement, a hope. We see infinite possibilities where limits had seemed to hold us in. We rejoice in engaging with life and with one another in a way that is genuine and also joyful, inspired, and irresistible.

And this is service to God. It is our conscious and grateful agreement to let His glory be seen, perpetuated, released naturally through us and our glowing lives.
