“If I flew on morning’s wings to the far western horizon, You’d find me in a minute—you’re already there waiting!” (Psalms 139: 9-10, the Message Bible)

This poetic assurance is both calming and uplifting. It sets us free to take on new adventures without fear, knowing that we will never be outside of God’s care, His loving presence.

We can know that when we are faced with challenges, feel fearful, like we are in darkness, God swiftly finds us. He comes to us right where we are, and His light shows us what is true—that God is greater than our fears and trials.

God’s Love is already waiting for us, even when we go far afield, veering from the best path for our lives. And He isn’t waiting on the other end to punish us or make us feel ashamed. He’s patiently ready to show us He has never stopped loving us, and that we are always at home in His heart, the Life that is Love.

God’s Love doesn’t wait for us to be in church or have all our thoughts in perfect order before He arrives to help us. His presence is immediate and His Love unconditional. He may come to us with His wisdom, or simply with His comfort. We can’t be lost from God or too far for Him to find us. In a minute. Now.
