“The Lord protects the simple (childlike); I was brought low [humbled and discouraged], and He saved me.” (Psalms 116: 6, Amplified Bible)

We can surrender our egos and be more childlike. We can recognize that as we release the belief that we must be in control, knowing all, accomplishing it perfectly, we gain the truest of blessings.

For in that humility that often comes out of challenges, we are rescued by God, Our Father-Mother. We are brought into a new place of understanding that is not about human knowledge at all. It is the wisdom of simplicity. It is remembering that being the children we truly are brings us opportunities for pure grace.

Don’t let discouragement make you feel as if you have failed. In that place where we don’t know the answers, feel frightened and low, God is right there to embrace us, lift us, save us. We can give up the need to be strong and smart and yield willingly to that simple childlikeness that opens us up to receiving God’s care, His salvation, and a return to our rightful joy.
