“So why would I fear the future? Only goodness and tender love pursue me all the days of my life.” (Psalms 23: 6, the Passion Translation)

We are pursued by goodness. God is impelling us forward into more of His grace and love. His purpose is always being fulfilled in us, and so we can walk ahead without fear of what’s next.

We may not know what is ahead, but we can let the peaceful confidence expressed in this psalm resonate with us. We can acknowledge that God is with us in this moment and that He tenderly loves us. His strength accompanies us, and His inspiration and wisdom guide us in each step.

This assurance is not a special limited time deal. It continues with us for all the days of our life. We can consciously accept the presence of God’s Love and rejoice that this Love is Life, our Life—everlasting, ever-vital, always fresh and full. This Truth actively abides with us and in us every day with undiminished affection and powerful protection.
