“Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail).” (Psalms 55: 22, Amplified Bible Classic Edition)

Release the weight of your burdens, your fears. Letting go of your cares is not dropping the ball, losing control of life. It is entering into the realm of peace while God sustains you. It is allowing the Almighty to do what He can easily do, letting His wisdom and Love set us free and move us forward.

We can relax our shoulders and breathe. We can give up the mortal ego—the self that is full of pride and doubt and judgment—and be receptive of help. We can remember that we aren’t alone and anxious, uncertain and weak. We are naturally at one with God, the powerful divine presence that knows what we need and is able to provide it.

We can stay true to what is right and good. We can do our best to keep our motives pure and loving. This aligns us with God, and He upholds us through any challenges, redirects us when we turn the wrong way. God is ready and able to carry your burden and you. Humbly and gratefully let Him lighten your load and enlighten your life.
