“Every valley will be lifted up, and every mountain and hill will be leveled; the uneven ground will become smooth and the rough places, a plain. Our lives may seem rugged and difficult. The world may appear full of disturbances and discord, events and circumstances that seem insurmountable.

But we can look to this divine promise for comfort and for guidance. God’s glory may appear hidden to our fearful and limited eyes, but it is still the ever-present reality of being. God is All and over all, and His Word is the perpetual law of goodness, beauty, concord, peace.

The awkward, confused, uneven places in our lives will be smoothed out by divine Love’s goodness and wisdom. We can release our concerns to God. We can know that God’s divine demand is that His true creation be seen, that His universal perfection be revealed even to our limited human sense.

Step by step we can walk forward with God. We can see the smoothing of the path before us. We can experience our natural ability to ascend the mountains of doubt and to feel safe in every place, moment by moment, glory to glory.
