“Thus saith the Lord; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the Lord.” (Jeremiah 31: 16)

What a comforting message. And it comes directly from God, ever-present divine Love. We can count on the good Lord to do what He promises.

When we find ourselves in those times of tears and trials, we can be still and hear the voice that is ready to heal and bless. We may think that we have every reason to cry over loss or lost hope, or to feel that all our efforts are for nothing. But God says otherwise. Truth and Love require a reward for us, a release from our challenges and a renewed life of joy and goodness.

God, like a mother, is telling us everything is going to be alright. We can stop crying and come into that holy embrace, calm our anxieties, and remember that God sees us for who we truly are—Her child—and wants the very best for us.

We can yield to this comfort, accept the presence of divine mercy and grace, and be ready to feel the sun shining on us again.
