“And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.” (Psalms 119: 45)

Our liberty is revealed as we seek what is right and follow to the best of our ability. We don’t have to wait until some hereafter to feel free. The discovery of life as God made it to be unfolds moment by moment, as we listen and learn.

Let’s recognize that walking at liberty doesn’t come through human perfection, a final goal achieved. Our freedom is about the seeking. It is in the search for Truth that we explore, that we live, and that we come to know more of what truly constitutes Life.

God is daily with us. His law is Love. His precepts, His directions for action and conduct, keep us safe. These instructions lead us to be our true selves and yet without ego and willfulness.

Following God’s wisdom, we behave in a way that is honest and good for one and all. This never limits us. It sets us free! We let go of mortal limitations—fears, shame, guilt, blame, doubt—and are able to continue to seek and to find, protected by God’s law and alive to His promises each new day.
