“Yes, dear friends, we are already God’s children, right now, and we can’t even imagine what it is going to be like later on. But we do know this, that when he comes we will be like him, as a result of seeing him as he really is.” (I John 3: 2, the Living Bible)

We don’t have to wait for some glory moment to become children of God, or to regain some lost blessing. We are already and always and now the very offspring of the Almighty one. This is our heritage, and nothing will ever change this divine fact.

We can acknowledge this and open our thoughts and our hearts to even greater realizations. There is a rich understanding in store for us beyond our imaginations. We will come to see what it really means to be God’s children. As we progressively recognize more of God’s true nature, see the love, goodness, immortality that Jesus demonstrated, we will surely awake to our true selves.

For we are this Christly idea! We are the very evidence of God’s Life and Love. And while this may seem difficult to grasp now, it is the reality of our being. We can expect to see clearly our own identity, to know ourselves as God knows us—in all our beauty, purity, wisdom, and joy.
