Daily Inspiration, November 8th

forestlight

“If I try to hide in the darkness, the night becomes light around me. For even darkness cannot hide from God; to you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are both alike to you.” (Psalms 139: 11-12, the Living Bible)

There are times we feel we just want to get away from life, to sink into a dark place and give up. We may be paralyzed by grief, disappointment, or simply confusion over what we are to do and to be.

But even when we hide in the darkness, linger in depression or doubt, we are never alone. The dark is not the winner, the condition, our place. It is only a space wherein the light can be seen even more clearly, vibrantly, and received more willingly and gratefully. For God’s light is in every place. His Love and His goodness are always ready to find us and awaken us to see what is really going on.

God does not distinguish between night and day. He is always the Star of Light, the Sunlight of Living Truth, boldly available and full of Love and peace and power, no matter what the limited human senses would tell us.

God is faithfully with us, watching in the night, keeping us safe, and preparing us for the natural dawn to rise and shine, leading us into His glorious day!
