“You will be enriched in every way so that you may be generous, and this [generosity, administered] through us is producing thanksgiving to God [from those who benefit].” (II Corinthians 9: 11, Amplified Bible)
Our thanksgiving goes a long way. We give conscious gratitude for all that God has given to us. With this awareness, we find ourselves resting in treasures that are ripe and ready to share with others.
God has enriched us with all that is needful to be generous. We are truly given more than enough because He requires us to express His own goodness, light, and love. God created us to bear witness to His own nature, His qualities and completeness, so that the name of Love and Life are known everywhere.
Be still today in recognition of what God has given you. These blessings may well be people and things, good food and a roof over your head. But, be thankful also for those imperishable things that go beyond that. God’s Life is full of more than what the physical eyes may behold. It is brimming with opportunity, with inspiration, with connection, with wisdom, with laughter and light and intelligence. Divine Love is infinite, filling all space, and is ready for our claiming and sharing.
Allow yourself to rest in the good that you see as well as that which is at hand which you may not see. And by sharing your grateful heart with others, in your acts and in your thoughts, this goodness naturally and necessarily multiplies. The celebration extends beyond our individual friends and families to embrace the whole family of man.
