Love One Another

“When we love others, we know that we belong to the truth, and we feel at ease in the presence of God. But even if we don’t feel at ease, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything.” (I John 3: 19-20, Contemporary English Version)

Loving one another aligns us with our truest selfhood. It makes us feel connected to God and to the Truth of our lives. When we agree to and accept the truth of our being, and love as we were meant to do, then feeling close to God and to His affection and protection is natural. We feel absolutely at ease with God because we are harmonizing with His intention.

But, even if our conscience is accusing us or we are feeling less than loving or loved, God knows better. Those feelings are not an impediment to God’s presence and power. He remains in us and with us, whether we are certain of this fact or not. We may not be fully aware of the comfort of knowing that God is with us—loving us, assuring us, leading us. But, that doesn’t change the facts.

Trust what God knows about you, not those human fears and doubts and accusations that rise up against you and your goodness. God sees you clearly and He knows you are the very idea of His Love.

Get to know more about your true being by acting like yourself. Love others. Love God—goodness, Truth, peace, joy. And love yourself enthusiastically as the very proof of all His living Love.
