“Wait for and confidently expect the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord.” (Psalms 27: 14, Amplified Bible)
This instruction in patience may be difficult to heed at times. We may feel that we have already been patient enough, waiting for blessings and goodness and peace. We may feel uncertain and restless and discouraged by challenges in our lives.
But we can wait with confidence for God’s grace and goodness. We can find our strength in God’s certainty, not our own willfulness or bravado. Our hearts can take courage and be strong by knowing that we are waiting not only for, but within, the very presence of divine Love. That human sense of impatience can be stilled as we recognize that we are not now and never have been separate from the Truth, God, good, the solution.
And that rest in the presence of God and His Truth, gives us that peace as we “wait” for the unfolding of good to be seen in our daily experience. We can remain confident because we are safe in the Love of divine Love and our lives are under the wisdom of a perfect Mind.
Expect the Lord. Expect the best. Expect Life’s answers to be better than you may dream of. Don’t brace for the worst. Await, with expectation, with joyous anticipation, God’s surprise—His right revelation of His glorious and ideal day!
