Daily Inspiration, July 26th

“Haven’t I commanded you? Strength! Courage! Don’t be timid; don’t get discouraged. God, your God, is with you every step you take.” (Joshua 1:9, Message Bible)

God’s command is not negotiable. His demand is imperative and certain and exactly right. It also comes with all the power and protection and resources needed to carry it out effectively and lovingly.

Every step you take, God—your God—is with you. As you walk forward in living your Truth, your inspiration, the life and work you have been led to do, you are doing it all with God’s grace, His intelligence, His protection, and His power. You are not carrying a purpose on your little shoulders. You are being sent forth as the emissary, the qualified representative of all of God’s qualities and His unchallenged intention, to express goodness, purpose, joy, in a way that is impactful, satisfying, and just right not only for you, but for all.

So claim that strength. Own that courage. Dismiss the temptation to be timid or to give in to discouragement. You walk with God. The call to good within you comes from God Almighty. He made you to bear witness to Him in a way that is uniquely you and, because of this, stunningly powerful. And God—divine Truth, Life, and Love—is with you every step of the way, today and every day.
