clear-path

“With all your heart you must trust the Lord and not your own judgment. Always let him lead you, and he will clear the road for you to follow.” (Proverbs 3: 5-6, Contemporary English Version)

Are you feeling a little stymied? Are you experiencing what feel like obstructions and limitations in some areas of your life? Does it seem like you are getting a lot of resistance to things you are trying to accomplish or feeling somehow wearied and uncertain in achieving a goal, either small or greater?

We all have certainly felt this way at times and I suspect we’ve often tried to come up with every reason why things are going wrong. We may have listed pros and cons to determine how to proceed as well as taking human opinions into account, making everything seem even more complicated and causing us to feel even more stuck.

Let your worry and wondering and ruminating and justifying go. Trust the One Who is wise and loving and absolutely certain of your path to freedom. God’s way for you is right and good, satisfying and progressive, and it is His ideal plan, not your (limited) human picture of things. With all your heart give up the need to work out your life. God is Life and He is Love. Rejoice and lean your whole being into God’s hands and His gracious design for you. His law of liberty has already cleared those obstacles and His kindness is ready to lead the way so that you can naturally follow.

You may be surprised where God takes you. But you will not be disappointed!
