Daily Inspiration, December 27th

“Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.”(Philippians 3: 15)

As we claim that perfect view of ourselves and accept our status as children of God, Spirit, we can think and act accordingly. Knowing that God is the one Mind and that He is in all ways and at all times all-knowing and all-loving, we can rest in His consciousness; we can be the expression of His right thinking and acting, naturally.

No one is excluded from this holy status and the ability to live it forth. If we wait for human perfection, we will be waiting a long time! But, if we accept our true spiritual perfection, as God’s own ideas–perfect because divine Mind is flawless–we are capable of achieving what is in fact our true and original state of being. We must begin with God’s perfect ideal–with Him as Cause and us as perfect effect. God made man, and He made him just right.

Claiming this heritage without reservation, our vision is clearer, for we are not looking through the mask of a false identity, or coming from a premise of personal creation in matter. With this new and true vision, we are able to see God’s revelation. Anything that is not in line with that perfection of thought and action will be seen for its error, and can then be cast off as having nothing to do with the identity God made, the goodness and truth of our nature. No ignorance of our perfection will be allowed by infinite Mind. As we abide in the Truth, any flawed thought will be made apparent to us and its exposure to God’s light in us will cause it to disappear as we shine on, with healing beauty.
