“And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort…” (Luke 8: 48)
Hear this words as if they were meant just for you. Receive that rich spirit of Love that Jesus expressed when he spoke to this woman in need of healing. She had touched his garment after having suffered many years with a disturbing disease. She recognized the divine power being expressed by Jesus, and reached out to claim access to it, to feel it.
And she was rewarded by that Christ-influence. She was healed because she truly believed, and Jesus offered her those tender and powerful words that expressed the Truth of her being. She was not a woman beset with difficulties, laboring along in the press, in the multitude of material fears and predictions and expectations. She was, in fact, a “daughter.” She was, as we all are, a child, the sweet little one who needed her Father-Mother to tell her that the nightmare wasn’t real, and that a rich life was hers to experience.
“Be of good comfort.” Be assured that all is well. And, be not only comforted, but comfortable, at peace in all ways. Each of us are ready, always near the hem of the garment, and able to receive the sincere and powerful assurance that we are indeed God’s dear sons and daughters, and that comfort is not only our hope, but our permanent and natural condition.
