Daily Inspiration, January 11th

“Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping. The Lord hath heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer.” (Psalms 6: 8-9)

Our tender Father-Mother is our comfort and our protection. He is forever with us, and He hears our plea, comes to wipe away our tears, and always knows our heart and its true motives and desires. This faithful presence and attention of the Father, is our salvation from the terrors and errors that would try to cause us fear, shame, or pain. Our God is not afar and distant, inactive or unresponsive. He is here.

Our God is Love. His very purpose is to embrace, to save, to make comfortable, to keep the good alive and to negate necessarily all that might harm His own ideas. Knowing this, we can demand that the evil depart from us, that even those thoughts which seem to want to argue within us for attention be banished from our experience at once and forever. We needn’t accept the presence of anything unloving for any longer than God would abide it.

Our prayer is heard. Our full and receptive turning to divine Love for help, for understanding, for peace, for comfort, for absolution, for cleansing, never fails to receive a blessing. The tears that seem to overwhelm us need not overtake us. Our Mother is with us. She knows our need, and loves to love us into freedom, to love with that true love that does not pity, but is merciful, tender, understanding, and healing. We are not alone in despair. We are at One with Infinite and active Love.
