“Be cheerful with joyous celebration in every season of life. Let your joy overflow!” (Philippians 4:4, The Passion Translation)

Let’s yield to joy. Let’s allow ourselves to surrender to the natural spirit of happiness that is always within us, even when times may seem hard.

We may experience this joy in different ways as we journey through life. At times, joy may be animated delight, playful and energetic. At other times, we may recognize that joy as a sweet sense of peace within. We may find contentment in the simplicity of daily life and the observation of good in others and in our world.

We can seek, discover, and utilize our natural joy. This proceeds from our oneness with God, who is Life and Love and goodness. This consciousness recognizes the light that transcends material conditions and the smile that breaks through the clouds of despair. God’s Love in us tickles us, brings laughter, and a release to God’s own Life—a Life that always has more delight to offer us, more gratitude to feel, more love to experience and express.

Claim the joy you want to feel! Nothing can stop the celebration of you as the happy, free, worthy, and wonderful child of God that you are! Let your joy overflow!
